No personal experience brotha but I know its a fairly common procedure and its done laprascopicly and you can return to normal activities within a couple days.

Both my parents have had it done. At first anything greasy would go right through them, but after a month or so they were back to thier same pre-surgery diet with no problems.

So, the docs ordered some imaging and showed you the stones?

Frankly, after these last issues with my pancreas anytime a doc says "we need to remove xxx" I would get a second opinion, and even more important if they haven't done any imaging. Regular gallstones should show up easily via ultrasound (either radiopaque or radiolucent). Biliary sludge might be harder.

The second time I ended up in the hospital with pancreas issues, I got "we think we need to remove your gallbladder" - went for the second opinion and the surgeon was "I see no justification from the imaging for performing this surgery"

Turned out it wasn't my gallbladder at all but one of the medications they put me on was inflaming my pancreas.

You don't need surgery unless it's an emergency.

Apple cider vinegar, olive oil extra virgin, lemon juice, and Epson salt (sometimes optional). These are key ingredients to break up the stones naturally. This will work within a few days.

Plenty of references on youtube you can look at.

Best wishes.

@MuscleMonkey The first time I went to ER for the unbearable pain. The did a CT scan and it showed up. Since then got a second opinion and ultrasound done. Which of course they all want it removed. “Keep the money coming in”

Make you wonder who to believe and trust.

I went to see my personal MD once because I was having gasto issues.....everything that I would eat or drink would go right through me and I lost about 20lbs in two weeks.  What I didn't really realize is that our dog was having the same problem.  My wife is a nurse practitioner and pointed out the fact that it could be a problem with our water well.  My dog and I drink tap water and my wife bottled water.  I mentioned that to my MD when I had my appointed and he just kinda rolled his eyes and said.....'its not your water'.  He ended up diagnosing me with just a stomach flu.  We had our water tested by our county water department the following day and found coliform bacteria.....it was our water after all.
